On the subject:
Stability tests to determine shelf lives or expiry dates of pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and foodstuffs are an essential component of quality assurance. Numerous national and international guidelines must be observed when planning, conducting and evaluating stability studies. Therefore, the ICH (International Council for Harmonization) has developed guidelines on stability studies, which have led to a harmonization of requirements.
In their short presentations, the two speakers focus on the approach and implementation in practice and show how IT solutions help to significantly simplify the entire directive-compliant administration and documentation of even the most complex stability tests with their corresponding test plans.
Speakers:
George Stromer
Dipl.-Ing. Georg Stromer has been working in the IT environment of the laboratory industry for over 20 years. As Managing Director Services of LIMS at work GmbH, which supports companies in all questions of quality assurance and quality management in the laboratory, he is responsible for the area of services and projects – from advice on product selection to qualification and the introduction of new systems . LIMS at work focuses on the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, petrochemical and geological industries.
Steven Watts
After completing his PhD at Bielefeld University, Steven Watt had the opportunity to lead a small research and service unit in the field of proteomics. At Thermofischer Scientific, he was able to deepen his knowledge in the field of mass spectrometry and had the opportunity to get to know many different laboratories and work areas as an LC-MS trainer. In his current position as Business Developer at A&M STABTEST, he can use his experience from research and the service sector to support his customers from the pharmaceutical industry in issues such as stability testing, pharmaceutical analytics (GMP) and bioanalytics (GLP).
Working Group IT in BioRiver eV
With the IT working group, we have been offering IT managers and experts a forum for exchanging experiences on IT topics relevant to life sciences since 2020. The IT working group in BioRiver eV is organized and managed by the member companies otherScore GmbH, LIMS at work GmbH, Medeora GmbH, and Miltenyi Biotec BV & Co. KG. The participants of the meetings come from life science, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, research institutions and other industries. The choice of topics is determined by the participants and the steering committee. Interested parties are welcome regardless of membership in BioRiver eV!
