Study designer – configure and manage studies individually
The study designer is a central tool in BioARCHIVE with which you can organize and manage your projects and studies in a structured manner. It allows you to enter additional information, define individual ID templates and automatically and consistently generate identifiers for subjects (cases) and samples.
Functions at a glance
Create and manage studies
You can create new studies or edit existing ones via Administration → Study designer.
Set ID templates
Under “Change template”, you can configure the structure of the IDs for cases and samples, for example by assigning a fixed suffix. This automatically generates unique and comprehensible designations.
Case management
Go to the Case → Input area.
Select a study at the top; the associated cases are displayed below.
Use “+ New” to create a new case.
Assign an ID, for example based on the defined template.
After saving, you can add further case-related information.
Note: A case must be assigned to a study before an ID template can be applied.
Sample management
Go to Samples → Master data.
First select a study and then a case.
Click on “+ New” to create a new sample – individually or in multiple copies.
Assign an ID and add relevant information about the sample.
With the study designer, you can create a clear structure for your data management. Automated ID creation and study-based organization ensure consistent and traceable management of cases and samples.
