Networked collaboration with external laboratories
With our networking concept, you create a simple, secure and well thought-out way of working with other laboratories or institutions – across locations. This makes scientific cooperation more efficient, more transparent and much simpler.
Why network?
Whether joint projects, multi-center studies or the targeted exchange of expertise: networking with other laboratories enablescontrolled access to studies, samples and documentation masks – simple, secure and fully traceable. This allows you to work hand in hand – without data loss or duplication of work.
This is how cooperation works:
- Have access activated
To start networking, let us know which laboratory you would like to work with. As the system administrator, we will set up the connection between the two centers for you – securely and reliably.
- Release studies for collaboration
As soon as the connection is active, select the desired study in the Study Designer under Administration > Studies > Releases and activate the release for the connected laboratory.
➤ All data assigned to this study – i.e. cases, samples, aliquots, etc. – will be readable for the other center from this moment on.
- Share forms
The project documentation (i.e. your individually created data entry screens) is also automatically shared. This allows the other laboratory to use the same forms and enter data themselves – based on your structure.
- Manage samples together
In the Freezer module, you can also share individual boxes for collaboration.
➤ The connected laboratory sees your box and can check in aliquots there directly – just like in a shared warehouse management system.
Your advantages at a glance:
-
Transparent collaboration with clear distribution of rights
-
No additional work – approvals are targeted and project-based
-
Shared use of forms & study structures
-
Cross-site sample logistics via the box release
-
Data security guaranteed – all access is read-only and controlled
