Technical basis:

The software is programmed entirely in AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) and is supplied with a license-free, relational database system. This technology enables operation as a distributed service within an intranet or on the Internet. The system is role- and rights-based and can be used on any Windows or Linux operating system.
To use the software on the server, all you need is an internet connection and an internet browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Recommended browser versions:

• Google Chrome: Version 62 or higher (published from 2018)
• Mozilla Firefox: Version 58 or higher (published from 2018)
• Microsoft Edge: Version 79 or higher (Chromium-based Edge, released in 2020)

Server requirements:

The software products of MEDEORA GmbH are web-based applications that are operated on a computer system with a web server, MariaDB and PHP as the programming language (a so-called “AMP” stack). We recommend the following configurations for operation:

• Web server: Apache II with PHP 8.3 or higher. Alternatively, the application can be installed via Docker Hub.
• Database: MariaDB 10
• Browser: Standard Internet browser
• Memory (RAM): 8 GB (16 GB recommended)
• Hard disk space: 30 GB (50 GB recommended; 100 GB for intensive use and document uploads)

Operating system:

The server can use any operating system that supports the AMP stack, such as Microsoft Windows. However, we strongly recommend using a Linux distribution, preferably based on Debian, such as the Ubuntu Server Edition.
