The software is used here for research purposes with human material, among other things. On request, sample material is made available for scientific questions. The biobank receives requests for human samples, for example from the German Center for Lung Research, university research institutions, other research centers such as the Helmholtz Center, but also from the research-based pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology companies. Material is also provided prospectively for certain research projects.
