Family tree – sample relationships at a glance
With the family tree, you can visualize the relationships between cases, samples and aliquots – clearly, intuitively and with just one click.
There are three family tree buttons:
-
Top left: Shows the complete family tree of a case – with all associated samples and aliquots.
-
Top right: Shows the family tree of a single sample – including its subsamples, aliquots and derivatives.
-
In the “Aliquots” tab: Select a sample, click on the “Aliquots” tab and use the button that appears there to display only the aliquots of this sample.
How to use the family tree:
-
Expand: Click on the small arrow (^) next to an element to make additional levels such as subsamples or aliquots visible.
-
Information at a glance: Each sample and aliquot shows important details such as sample type, material, creation date, fill level, position and storage location.
-
Full screen mode: Open the family tree in full screen if required to better display complex structures.
Export & save:
You can save the family tree as a PNG or PDF using the “Download” button. The file can be easily opened, shared or printed – e.g. for documentation or meetings.
At the end you will find a video that explains the procedure step by step.
This will show you how to use the family tree effectively.
